Elias Corner has been around for a while. Our doors have been open for business since before the internet became the culture. We just sell fish. The place has been graced by visits from influential figures in legislation to the Mayors of our streets (albeit unofficial), and all the vibrancy NYC has to offer in between. Elias Corner's walls were filled with awards, reviews, plaques and pictures that took a lifetime to amass.
We've cleaned up a bit, for our sanity, but still wanted to show respect to the influential guides that shaped the growth of NYC's food life.
"The greeting on the Elias Corner website pretty much sums up the entire Elias Corner experience. Are they yelling at you via cyberspace, commanding that you exclusively eat seafood? Sort of. Are they trolling you when they ask if you're ready to order even though nobody has told you what they serve? Sort of. But are you going to love whatever fish hits the table? Goddamn right you are."
" The sign says it all: “For fish.” Inside there’s no menu, but there is the freshest swordfish, octopus, squid and other ocean delights—procured fresh each morning and grilled simply with lemon, herbs and olive oil.
Don’t know what you want? Just point at the glass case. "
"It’s not the simple blue-and-white decor that lure capacity crowds to this Astoria taverna. It’s the glistening display of seafood destined to become dinner that keeps them coming back.
...
Dessert isn’t served on weekends, but keep an eye peeled for the occasional special of loukoumades—sweet dough fritters drizzled in honey."
This restaurant has no menu and they do not make reservations. And it is family Greek restaurant.. If you are a lover of fish, seafood and Greek cuisine then you here. All fish is cooked on a charcoal grill. Every day fresh fish. The restaurant opened at 4 pm. The most popular visiting hours are from 9 pm until the restaurant closes. reasonable prices. For now it’s my favorite restaurant.
Yesterday we were here, the food was not bad, we odered 4 dishes and the worse was the waiter brought the dishes at the same time. An older gentleman greeted us (probably Elias himself)
Thank you for taking the time to write about us. Whether 995Nataliav or The Robs, your support justifies the work we put in.
We strive to make sure that healthy, fresh fish remains an option at an affordable price. We want to competitively provide nutritious food and share the secrets of the Greek diet.
