It's the only way to rationalize the history of Elias Corner. Elias was the owner of the restaurant on the corner. It's that simple. The ingredients, the decor, the whole attitude. You make good, you be good, you get good. 40 years later and the blueprint still stands. Times change, families grow and we still never know what tomorrow holds, but some things never get old. Eat fresh fish. Add lemon. It's always been that simple.
We all know about the benefits of eating fish. However, when fish is drenched in overpowering sauces, spices and flavorings it seems like someone's hiding something. Don't be fooled by our competitors' concoctions. If you want to eat good, fresh fish you don't need much. And I don't mean starve yourself and drain your wallet with tiny portions at big bucks. Eat how nature intended - the Greek way with some olive oil and lemon.
Succeeded by his wife and son, the restaurant has grown into a disciplined, streamlined illustration of what opened the doors of Elias Corner over 40 years ago. Jenny's ability to lead a family through an intestate pandemic, and then lead a restaurant through a global pandemic, only further exemplifies her ability to provide ardent care for others. In a business, especially a food and hospitality business, there's no one better suited for the job. Astoria is lucky to have Jenny and the Greek mother in her. You're going to get fed. And you're going to like it.
We're always willing to listen and see how we can help. If you don't ask, that's a different story. We can't wait for everything to be ok to live our life. Life must be understood backward. But it must be lived forward.
